[Expo MC Report] Ghana – Smiles, Rhythm, and Warm Connections
On September 11th, I had the honor of serving as the bilingual MC for the Republic of Ghana’s reception held at the prestigious Guest House.
The event was attended by ambassadors, distinguished guests from business and government, including Ghana’s Minister of Trade, Industry and Agribusiness, and the Minister of Communications, Digitalisation and Technological Innovation.
From Japan, the Deputy Mayor of Osaka also delivered a speech, adding to the event’s prestige.
The reception was a standing buffet-style gathering, where guests enjoyed light meals, performances, and cultural exchange in a warm and friendly atmosphere.
It was formal, yet relaxed — filled with smiles and laughter.
One of the most memorable scenes was seeing a man in a suit — who you wouldn’t expect to dance — joining local performers with pure joy, while his colleague happily recorded the moment on a smartphone.
Witnessing such moments of shared happiness reminded me how special it is to connect people through events like this.
As a bilingual MC, I carefully shifted between English and Japanese to bridge ceremony and celebration.
It was a powerful reminder of the beauty of communication — and how words can truly connect hearts across cultures.
