[Expo MC Report] Antigua & Barbuda – Breeze, Rhythm, and Unforgettable Unity
On September 27th, I had the honor of serving as the bilingual MC for the Antigua and Barbuda National Day event at Pop-up South —
and this became my final MC appearance at the Expo.
More than an hour before the event started, many people — from children to the elderly — were already seated on their own chairs, waiting with smiles.
Seeing so many people looking forward to the outdoor performance reminded me how special these moments truly are.
The Pop-up stage offers a uniquely close connection with the audience.
Using a stand microphone, I spoke just a few meters away from so many smiling faces.
The crowd’s energy was contagious — filled with music, clapping, and joyful laughter.
The ocean breeze was gentle, the weather perfect, and the late-summer air carried the sound of steelpan and Caribbean rhythms.
It felt like being in a tropical paradise.
The event ended in great success, and I’m deeply grateful that I was able to finish my final Expo MC with a big smile.
The performance was streamed on the official Expo YouTube Chubu channel,
and since it was a Saturday, my family was watching from home, cheering me on.
Knowing they were watching made the moment even more special —
it felt as though their warmth reached me through the screen.
Every person, every stage, every word I’ve spoken — all of them have become precious memories.
And from here, I’ll continue to move forward, connecting the world through the power of voice as a bilingual MC.
